The summer of 2023 has been very successful in terms of passenger and vehicle volumes. However, freight volumes have decreased somewhat due to the economic downturn.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2023 Wasaline carried 67,000 passengers, an increase of almost 7%. Passenger volumes in June also exceeded the previous year. When comparing the period between January to July 2023 with 2022, passenger volumes are up by 12.5%. Aurora Botnia transported 17,625 passenger vehicles. The number of buses also increased and has now more than doubled compared to the previous year. However, transportation of freight decreased by about 9%.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are very satisfied with the summer so far, and the booking status for August looks promising as well. I want to thank our excellent staff for their fantastic work both onboard and ashore.
