NLC Ferry Ab Oy I Press release I 1.8.2024
A masterpiece of co-operation – towards a sustainable world
This summer, Wasaline’s Aurora Botnia has been painted with a new tagline: “A masterpiece of co-operation – towards a sustainable world”.
In an era marked by environmental challenges and the urgent need for sustainable development, co-operation at all levels of society and sectors is more crucial than ever. Achieving a sustainable world is a collective commitment that requires joint efforts from individuals, communities, businesses, governments, and international organizations.
“Wasaline collaborates with various stakeholders to continue being as sustainable as possible. For instance, the collaboration with Wärtsilä is very close in our effort to develop even more environmentally friendly engines. Discussions are also being held with companies like Liquid Wind and Umeå Energi about potential future fuels”, says Peter Ståhlberg, Managing Director of Wasaline.
“In today’s situation, co-operation is of utmost importance; no one can handle the challenges of the future alone. The co-operation with Vaasa and Umeå is, of course, also of great importance”, continues Ståhlberg.
