The voyage

Our unique route and sustainable maritime transports.

Aurora Botnia transports passengers and cargo between Vaasa, Finland and Umeå, Sweden all year round on a daily basis. One-way trip takes only 3.5 to 4 hours.

The High Coast of Sweden and the Kvarken Archipelago in Finland is the best place to understand the effects of the last ice age. Our route cuts across this Unesco world natural heritage site and the waters are rich in natural species.

Our promise to continuously become more environmentally friendly is clear and outspoken. We review our sustainability policy every year to make sure we are achieving our goals.

With only biofuels in use, Wasaline has become the first carbon-neutral shipping company in the Baltic Sea.
