Wasaline has received the certification standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Wasaline has been awarded ISO 9001 quality certification which is an international certification standard for quality management systems. ISO 14 001 is the most recognized international standard for environmental management systems.

During the month of January, the classification society DNV audited the offices in Vaasa and Umeå and on board the vessel Aurora Botnia. The staff has documented the company’s processes during 2023 ahead of the certification that was approved on January 29, 2024.

“We are very happy and proud that we have received the ISO 9001 & 14001 certifications. It is a confirmation that we work in accordance with our processes and with continuous improvements regarding quality and environment in our daily operations”, says Birgitte Holmblad DPA/MSQE Manager for Wasaline.

“There has been an incredible commitment from management and personnel to achieve these goals which will move our company forward with specific quality system requirements that improve the company’s ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet the demands of passenger and cargo customers. The past year has been a pleasant and rewarding and, above all, an interesting journey that we have made together, and which is now continuing,” says Holmblad, who led the project.
