How can I change my booking?

Answer: If you want to change your booking, you can do so via the link in your booking email. Alternatively, you can also change your booking via e-mail or via the telephone booking. Changes can be made up to 2 hours before departure. If you make your change via email or phone, always refer to your booking number with the change.

How do I cancel a trip?

Answer: The trip is canceled via the link in your booking email. The money is automatically transferred back to the card / account used at the time of booking in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy. Alternatively, you can contact our telephone booking or send an email to [email protected]. Please note that in case of manual cancellation, an office fee of 10 € / 105 SEK is always charged. If you cancel by email or phone, please state your booking number as well as your bank and account number where the refund is to be made. Please also send a medical certificate to [email protected] if this is about an illness. Please also check our cancellation policy.

When are e-mails read?

Answer: E-mails send to [email protected] are read daily whenever the boat is in traffic.

Do children need an official identity card to travel?

Answer: If a child is traveling alone they need to have an official identity card or passport. If a child is traveling in the company of an adult, only the adult is required to have official identification. Read more about certificates of identity, visa and residence permit here.

Is it enough if my friend is over 18 for me to go on a cruise?

Answer: No. You have to be 18 to travel alone on a cruise.

Are there wheelchairs in the terminals and on the boat?

Answer: There is a wheelchair in both Vaasa and Umeå terminals and also one onboard. If you need a wheelchair it is always good to contact the terminal in advance to notify them.

Food onboard, is there vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options?

Answer: There is vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food onboard. You can ask the kitchen if you can’t find it in the buffet.

Is it possible to stay over night on the ferry at late arrivals?

Answer: It is not possible to stay overnight on board after the ferry arrives in the port.

How long does the repayment take?

Answer: If you use the option to cancel yourself via the link in the booking email, your money will be refunded automatically. However, expect a processing time of 2-7 days depending on the payment method. Refunds via email or phone are handled manually by the staff and are made 1-2 times a week.

Where does the transfer bus stop in Vaasa?

Answer: The bus route in Vaasa: Wasaline terminal, Scandic Waskia / Tropiclandia, Vaasanpuistikko (east side of the city hall), Hovioikeudenpuistikko (outside of Pub O’Malleys), bus and train station.

Where does the transer bus stop in Umeå?

Answer: The bus route in Umeå: Wasaline terminal, Umeå airport, IKEA/Avion, Vasaplan stop W, University hospital NUS (stop H), Ålidhem school.

Is the transfer bus included in hotel packages / cruises / one-way tickets?

Answer: The bus is normally not included in any bookings made with Wasaline.

Is it possible to change currency onboard?

Answer: Change of currency (Euros and Swedish crowns) is possible at the information on deck 7. The currency exchange is only possible with cash.

Can you bring the dog on board??

Answer: For pets, a fee is charged regardless of whether it stays in the vehicle during the trip or if it is taken on the ferry. Pets must primarily travel in our pet lounge on deck 7. On your ticket there is a QR code that is used to open the door to the pet lounge. Read more about our pet lounge here.

Can dogs be left in a vehicle?

Answer: Pets can be left in a vehicle on your own responsibility. It is not possible to access the car deck during the journey.
